Ticketing Platform Comparison

GuestlistOnline
vs Weeztix

API-first festival and club ticketing with door hardware vs an invitation-led guest list and check-in platform.

Free up to 50 guests
Free plan: no credit card
Free events: no fees
Short answer

Weeztix, the platform formerly called Eventix and part of the Weezevent Group since March 2025, sells paid tickets at volume: no subscription, an open REST API with webhooks and Zapier, an offline scanner app, point of sale, badge printing and hardware rental, and an 11-language ticket shop. It does not publish a paid-ticket rate — the booking fee is quoted per country and volume — and Weeztix collects the ticket money and pays it out weekly or monthly. It also has no invitation and RSVP flow, no promoter commissions and two dashboard roles. GuestlistOnline publishes its fee (5% + €0.25 per paid ticket, processing included, nothing on free events), pays out through your own Stripe account, and is built around invitations, RSVP and the door.

From weeztix.com/pricing, fetched 17 Sep 2026. Weeztix publishes no rate for paid tickets, so there is no worked example on this page: the booking fee is quoted per country and volume, and a transaction fee is charged separately. A figure of €0.83 excl. VAT (about €1.00 incl. VAT) plus 1.8% is widely quoted — as reported, not on the pricing page. Weeztix's own help centre does show a real order: a €23.21 order on a €21.35 ticket leaves €21.67 for the organiser after €0.82 in service fees and €0.72 in transaction fees.

Key differences

What sets them apart

The details that matter when choosing between the two.

Where Weeztix wins: the API, the door and the volume

Weeztix is built for events that sell thousands of tickets. There is a REST API with OAuth, webhooks, Zapier and integrations from Mailchimp and MessageBird to TicketSwap and server-side Meta and Google tracking, an offline scanner app with a live monitor and multiple logins, point of sale and box office, badge printing, and scanners, equipment and staff you can rent for the weekend. GuestlistOnline has an offline PWA scanner and multiple scanner devices, but its API and webhooks sit on Enterprise, and it offers no point of sale, no badge printing and no seating at all.

Where GuestlistOnline wins: invitations, RSVP and the guest list

Weeztix has a Guestlist menu that issues free tickets and imports a CSV of orders, and rich visitor questions on the ticket — but no invitation and RSVP loop, no tags, no plus-one names, no approval step and no reminders are published. GuestlistOnline invites the list by email, collects yes and no with custom questions and plus-one names in your own wording, holds registrations for approval, and closes registration when the capacity is reached. For an invitation-led event that is the whole job, not an add-on around a ticket shop.

A published fee versus a quote

GuestlistOnline charges 5% + €0.25 per paid ticket in the ticket currency, payment processing included, and nothing at all on free events — you can work out your cost before you sign up. Weeztix quotes its booking fee per country and volume through a calculator and publishes no rate; the €0.83 excl. VAT plus 1.8% you will find quoted around the web is as reported, not on the pricing page, and a transaction fee comes on top. Where Weeztix is plainly generous is free tickets: the first 5,000 a year cost nothing, then €0.20 each, which beats almost anyone for a large free-entry event.

Who holds your money, and who else can reach the dashboard

Weeztix collects the ticket revenue and pays it out weekly on a Tuesday or Wednesday, monthly, or when a threshold is reached, and the dashboard has two roles: Company Manager and View Only. GuestlistOnline never touches the money — Stripe Connect pays it into your own account as the tickets sell, iDEAL included — and gives you 6 roles, up to 5 team members on Per Event and 50 on Pro, plus door-staff tokens that only open the scanner. Add promoter links with commissions, which Weeztix tracks but does not calculate, and the two platforms are answering different questions.

Fair is fair

When Weeztix is the better choice

If you sell paid tickets at volume and need an API, resale controls and hardware at the door, Weeztix is the stronger tool.

  • Festivals, club series and tours selling thousands of paid tickets
  • You need a REST API, webhooks, Zapier and server-side tracking
  • Point of sale, badge printing or rented scanners and staff at the door
  • A large free-entry event: the first 5,000 free tickets a year cost nothing
  • You do not need invitations, RSVP, plus-ones or promoter commissions
Migration

Switching from Weeztix

Weeztix exports eight report types as XLSX or CSV. Take the visitor report, save it as CSV and import it into GuestlistOnline, mapping names, email addresses and any answer you want to keep.

What carries over

  • Visitor names and email addresses from the exported report
  • Ticket type and order reference, mapped to a tag or a custom field
  • Answers to visitor questions, mapped to custom questions on the registration page
  • Check-in status, as the exported record of who arrived

What doesn't

  • The payout arrangement: GuestlistOnline pays out through your own Stripe Connect account instead of collecting the money for you
  • API and webhook integrations, Zapier scenarios and the TicketSwap resale setup
  • Point of sale, badge printing and any rented scanners or door hardware
  • Tracking links and their click history, and tickets already issued to buyers
