Ticketing Platform Comparison

GuestlistOnline
vs Tito

Developer-friendly registration for tech and B2B conferences vs a guest list platform with offline check-in and processing included.

Free up to 50 guests
Free plan: no credit card
Free events: no fees
Short answer

Tito (ti.to) is a lightweight, developer-friendly platform for tech and B2B conferences: 3% per paid ticket capped at €25, so it gets cheaper as a percentage above roughly €833 a ticket, on your own Stripe or PayPal account so Tito never holds your money, a full read/write API with webhooks and a Check-in API, and checkout in 21 languages. What it does not have: offline check-in (its own help centre says it needs "an available data connection"), a custom domain in the classic product, native SMS, or an invitation and approval flow — RSVP Lists is still in beta. GuestlistOnline charges 5% + €0.25 per ticket with processing included, checks guests in with no signal, and runs invitations, approval and promoter commissions around the ticket.

From ti.to/pricing and the Tito Help Centre articles "What different pricing plans do you have?" and "Billing" (help.tito.io, articles 2011311 and 2006172), fetched 17 Sep 2026. Payment processing is charged separately by your own Stripe or PayPal account; Tito never holds the money.

What you pay on 200 × €25 tickets (€5,000 gross)

GuestlistOnline
€300
Free events: no fees. Paid tickets: 5% + 0.25 per ticket in the ticket currency, payment processing included.
Tito
€270
3% per ticket, plus Stripe EU 1.4% + €0.25. The payment-processing cost above is already included in this estimate.

Tito's 3% fee is capped at €25 per ticket, so the cap only helps on tickets above roughly €833; the example below is well under that cap. Processing runs through your own Stripe or PayPal account — the extra above uses Tito's own cited Stripe EU rate.

Assumes one ticket per order and no VAT differences. Both platforms charge nothing on free tickets.

Key differences

What sets them apart

The details that matter when choosing between the two.

A capped percentage vs a flat rate

Tito charges 3% of the ticket price, capped at €25 per ticket, so the effective rate falls the higher the ticket price climbs — on a €1,000 ticket it is 2.5%, not 3%. GuestlistOnline charges a flat 5% + €0.25 with processing included in that single number. For conferences selling high-priced tickets through their own Stripe account, Tito's cap is the more competitive structure; for low-priced or free tickets, GuestlistOnline's all-in fee is the simpler one.

Where Tito wins: a full read/write API and webhooks

Tito publishes a complete Admin API v3 with read and write access, webhooks, a dedicated Check-in API and an embeddable widget — a genuinely strong developer toolkit that GuestlistOnline, whose REST API and webhooks are an Enterprise feature, does not match at the same depth. If your event stack is built around API automation, Tito is the stronger fit.

Offline check-in: GuestlistOnline only

Tito's own help centre states check-in requires "an available data connection" — there is no offline mode, and its iOS app was last updated in July 2024 with user-reported crashes. GuestlistOnline's scanner is a PWA that installs without an app store, scans with no signal at all, and syncs once you are back online. For a door in a basement or a field with patchy coverage, that difference matters.

Invitations and approval: beta on one side, built in on the other

Tito's "RSVP Lists" is still in beta and requires requesting access, has no guest approval step in the classic product, and reminders go out manually through Messages, which itself needs unlocking via support. GuestlistOnline's invitation emails, RSVP page, optional approval before a ticket is issued and automatic reminders are available on every plan, alongside promoter links with calculated commissions where Tito offers only source-tracking links.

Fair is fair

When Tito is the better choice

If you run a tech, developer or B2B conference selling mid- to high-priced tickets and want a strong API, Tito is the better fit.

  • Conferences and meetups selling tickets above roughly €100, where the €25 cap starts to bite
  • You want a full read/write API, webhooks and a dedicated Check-in API to automate the stack
  • Money should never touch a third party — your own Stripe or PayPal account settles it directly
  • 21-language checkout for an international attendee base, with badge printing built in
  • You do not need offline check-in, an invitation/approval flow or promoter commissions
Migration

Switching from Tito

Tito exports CSV and XLSX reports of attendees and orders, including a custom or all-events export, and its Admin API can pull the same data programmatically. Import the CSV into GuestlistOnline, mapping the columns you want to keep.

What carries over

  • Attendee names and email addresses from the export
  • Ticket type and order details, mapped on import
  • Answers to custom questions, mapped to custom questions or tags
  • Check-in status, as the exported record of who arrived

What doesn't

  • Source-tracking links and discount codes — GuestlistOnline replaces them with promoter links that calculate commissions
  • Badge templates and the Badgy printing setup
  • The RSVP Lists beta invite links, and any Tito Pro white-label configuration
  • Your Tito webhooks and API integrations, which point at Tito's endpoints rather than GuestlistOnline's
