How do I set up my first event?

Short answer

Click "Create Event", enter the name, date, time and location, and save. The event opens on its overview with a three-step setup tour: add guests, check your emails, brand your RSVP page. Everything can be changed later, and nothing is sent to guests until you send it.

Create the event

On the dashboard click Create Event.
Fill in the name, date, start time and location. Add an end time only if you want it shown; pick "No end time" otherwise.
Add a description and a flyer if you have them. Both appear on the guest pages and in emails, and both can be changed later.
Save. You land on the event overview.

The setup tour

The first event starts a short tour with three steps. You can skip it and pick it up later from the overview.

Guests: add a few by hand, import a CSV (paid plans) or share the registration link.
Emails: look at the invitation and QR ticket templates and change the texts to your voice.
RSVP page: choose one of the 9 templates, set the button colour and check the page with Open as guest.

The event menu

Overview: counts, the latest guests and quick actions like Share RSVP link.
RSVP page: the editor for the RSVP, confirmation and registration pages.
Emails: templates, automations, delivery status and sender settings.
Guests: the list, filters, tags, imports, exports and sending.
Check-in: door staff, the scanner and who has arrived.
Promoters, Analytics, Team, Settings: the rest, when you need it.

Nothing goes out by itself

Adding guests does not email them. Invitations, QR tickets and reminders are sent when you click send, or when you switch an automation on. So you can build the whole event first and send when it is ready.
