How do I duplicate an event for a recurring night?
Short answer
On the event overview, open the three-dot menu and choose Duplicate Event. The copy gets the same settings, pricing, custom questions, email templates and RSVP branding, with "(Copy)" after the name. Guests are not copied. Rename it, set the new date and, if you want the same people, export the guest list from the old event and import it into the new one.
Steps
- Open the event you want to repeat and click the three dots on the overview.
- Choose Duplicate Event. You land on the new event.
- Click Edit, remove "(Copy)" from the name and set the new date, times and, if it changed, the location.
- Check the emails: dates inside your own texts do not update themselves.
What is copied
- Details, description, flyer, time zone, language.
- Registration options, guest limit, approval, companion settings.
- Pricing: free or paid, prices, early bird, currency.
- Custom questions, email templates in every language, RSVP page template and branding.
- Team: you as owner. Invite team members and door staff again; door staff access is per event.
What is not copied
- Guests, their RSVPs and check-ins. Use export and import for a returning audience, or share the new registration link.
- Payments and paid upgrades. A per event upgrade belongs to one event; the copy is a free event until you upgrade it or it falls under your Pro subscription.
- Promoter links and analytics.
Questions about this
- Can I copy the guests too?
- Not with Duplicate. Export the guest list as CSV from the old event and import it into the new one; the import takes a minute and lets you drop people who declined.
- Does the copy count as my one free event?
- Yes, if the original is still upcoming. Archive or wait until the original date has passed, or use Pro.
- Do promoter links carry over?
- No. Promoters keep their account; invite them to the new event and they get a link for it.
