How do I edit my event after creating it?

Short answer

Open the event and click Edit on the overview. Name, date, times, location, description and flyer are on the first tab; pricing, registration options and approval are on the other tabs. Changes take effect immediately on guest pages and in emails sent from then on.

What you can change

  • Details: name, date and end date, start and end time ("No end time" hides it), location, description, flyer, time zone, language.
  • Registration: public registration on or off, guest limit, manual approval, companions and their maximum, which questions guests answer.
  • Pricing: free or paid, ticket price, early bird price and deadline, artist price, currency.

What happens to guests already invited

  • Guest pages read the event live, so a guest who opens their RSVP link sees the new date or location.
  • Emails already sent do not change. If the date moves, send a reminder or a short note so nobody shows up at the old time; the calendar file in it carries the new details.
  • QR codes stay valid. Changing details never invalidates tickets.

Texts on the guest pages and in emails

Those are not in Edit Event. Guest page texts live in the RSVP editor (RSVP page in the menu), email texts under Emails.

Questions about this

Can I change the date after guests have confirmed?
Yes. Their confirmation stays. Send them a message about the new date, for example with Send now on the event reminder.
Who can edit the event?
The owner and co-organizers. Coordinators manage guests and check-in but cannot change event details.
Why can I not switch a paid event back to free?
You can, as long as no tickets were sold. Once payments exist the event stays paid so the payment records remain consistent; make a new event if you need a free version.
