How does QR code check-in work at the door?
Every confirmed guest gets a personal QR code by email. At the door, your team opens the scanner app on any phone, scans the code, and the guest is checked in instantly. Each code works once, and check-ins sync live to your dashboard and to every other scanner.
In EnglishHow do I give door staff access to the scanner?
On the event's Check-in page, click "Add Staff" and enter the person's email. They receive an invitation, sign in once at scanner.guestlistonline.com with that address, and see only the scanner for your event. Door staff do not see the rest of your dashboard.

Head to scanner.guestlistonline.com on any phone or tablet and log in with your door-staff account. It is an installable web app, no app store needed.
In EnglishHow do I check in a guest without a QR code?
In the scanner app, tap the search field, type the guest's name and tap "Check in". In the dashboard, open the Guests page, click the three dots on the guest's row and choose "Check in guest". Both are recorded as manual check-ins with the staff member's name.

The GO Scanner pre-downloads your guest list to the device so you can scan QR codes and search by name even with no internet. Check-ins are queued locally and sync automatically the moment the connection returns.
In EnglishWhat is strict scanning and when should I use it?
With strict scanning on, every person must scan their own QR code. Door staff can no longer admit companions from the main guest's code. Turn it on from the event's Check-in page when each ticket must be checked individually, for example with paid or numbered tickets.

If a QR code won't scan: ensure good lighting, adjust screen brightness, hold steady, and fall back to manual check-in by name.
