Can I send emails from my own address instead of GuestlistOnline?

Three ways to send

• Default sender (go@send.guestlistonline.com with your name): no setup, best deliverability, and the Email delivery card shows delivered and bounced per guest.
• Microsoft 365: connect your Microsoft account and pick the mailbox to send from. Recommended for companies on Outlook.
• Your own SMTP: host, port, username, password and sender address from your provider. Works with any mail service that offers SMTP.

Steps

1. Open your event, go to Emails and open Email settings, or set it once for all events under your organization settings.
2. Choose Microsoft 365 and sign in, or choose SMTP and enter the details from your provider.
3. Send yourself a test invitation from the Guests page and check that it arrives and that "Reply" goes to your address.

Things that go wrong

• 535 authentication failed: wrong password, or your provider requires an app password instead of your normal one.
• Sender rejected: the sender address must belong to the mailbox you authenticated with. Distribution groups and aliases are often refused by Microsoft.
• Daily limits: Microsoft 365 and most SMTP providers limit how many emails a mailbox may send per day. For large lists, use the default sender.
• Going back to the default sender: choose the default in Email settings; do not just clear the fields.
